Wood-look concrete that fools the eye
Our faux wood concrete is carved by hand. Our artisans cut grain, knots, nail holes and plank seams into the overlay, then layer stains to recreate the color variation of real wood.
The finished surface can look like weathered barnwood, rich hardwood or coastal driftwood, while it feels and performs like concrete.

Stamped concrete wood vs. hand-carved faux wood
Traditional stamped concrete wood is made by pressing rubber mats into freshly poured concrete, so the pattern can repeat across the slab.
Our hand-carved overlay goes over your existing concrete and is detailed plank by plank. Every board is unique, the look is more realistic and there is no new slab to pour.

Faux wood concrete vs. real wood decking
| Faux wood concrete | Real wood deck | |
|---|---|---|
| Rot & termites | Never | Common in humid climates |
| Splinters | None | Yes, as it ages |
| Fire resistance | Non-combustible | Combustible |
| Feel underfoot | Textured, slip-resistant | Can get slick and warp |
| Maintenance | Mild soap and water, periodic resealing | Stain/seal yearly, replace boards |

Faux wood overlay FAQs
Does faux wood concrete get hot?
Lighter wood tones stay cooler than dark pavers or plain concrete. For decks in full sun, we'll recommend colors that stay comfortable underfoot.
Is it slippery around the pool?
No, the carved plank texture adds grip on its own. We can also add a slip-resistant additive to the sealer for extra traction.
Can you match my home's style?
Yes, we design the plank size, layout and color around your home and landscape. You'll review the options with us during the free design consultation.
