What is a flake epoxy floor?
A flake epoxy floor, also called a chip or broadcast floor, is a multi-layer coating system. After we grind and prime the concrete, colored vinyl flakes are broadcast into the wet base coat until it is fully covered.
We scrape off the excess and seal the floor with a clear protective topcoat. You get a textured, terrazzo-like finish that looks decorative and stands up to hard use.

Why choose a flake epoxy floor
Better grip
The flake texture adds traction, especially with a textured topcoat.
Hides imperfections
Dust, minor slab flaws and everyday dirt blend into the pattern.
Made for hard use
Resists impacts, abrasion, oil, chemicals and hot tires.
Quick to clean
A sweep and a mop are all it takes.
Budget-friendly
Typically a lower cost per square foot than metallic epoxy.
Where flake floors work best
- Garages
- Basements
- Workshops and man caves
- Laundry and mudrooms
- Pool equipment rooms and covered lanais
- Warehouses and auto shops
- Commercial kitchens, gyms and locker rooms
Choose your flake blend and finish
Pick a flake blend to suit the space, from neutral grays and tans that hide dirt to bold mixes in your team colors or brand palette.
Choose a full broadcast for maximum durability or a partial broadcast for a subtler look, then finish in satin or gloss.
